A BIG congratulations to our Executive Chef John Fleer who will be opening a restaurant in downtown Asheville by fall. Since John arrived in Cashiers, it has always been his intent to open his own place in Asheville in addition to being at the helm of Canyon Kitchen and it all seems to finally be coming together. The Asheville restaurant has the working name of 7 Pack due to its location on Pack Square. He will be taking a deeper look at Southern cuisine and basing his menus on the roots of this culinary genre. The style will be a bit different than what he does here at CK but of course with John, it is sure to be delicious.
As the restaurant takes shape will we be sure to keep you updated. I know we are looking forward to more opportunities to enjoy John’s food. Who will be joining us on opening day?
