Cottage lots range in size from 0.4 acres to one acre homesites within planned neighborhoods. For the sake of design consistency, each cottage neighborhood offers prescribed architecture. This approach saves both time and cost as cottage plans are pre-approved with complete construction documents, a low re-use fee and simplified review requirements. In total, there are 29 Cottage Lots at Lonesome Valley, located in four distinctive amenity areas on the property:
Lakeside
These nine cottage sites are aligned along the southeastern shore of Long Lake, with views of the lake and the forest preserve on the opposite shore.
Rhodie Point
Named for the abundant Rhododendrons of this area, these four cottage sites are located near Long Lake and the Lake Lodge with views of Cow Rock and Laurel Knob. Keep a pair of binoculars handy to follow climbers ascending the granite walls across the valley.
Cow Rock
The four Cow Rock cottage sites are located along the cascades of Logan Creek and offer views of the massive granite face for which they are named.
Creekside
Just a stone’s throw from the Trout Pond, these six sites offer a combination of privacy and central proximity to Lonesome Valley’s many natural amenities.
